Gymnastics
Monday
Join Ben Kelts for primary gymnastics! Learn to tumble, roll, and balance your body on the balance beam. This class will demonstrate the foundations of gymnastics while teaching your child to control their body.
Little Picassos
Mondays
Unleash your creativity in our Painting Class for young artists! In this fun and imaginative extra, your masterpieces can take on various forms as you explore the world of painting.
El Club De Español
Mondays
This class is for the little language sponges in the Primary Program to immerse themselves in more fun filled Spanish Instruction. They will learn songs, games and build their knowledge each week with repetition and connection to language.
Autumn Adventures
Wednesday
Celebrate the season in our Fun Fall Extra! Dive into autumn with activities like pumpkin decorating, leaf art, and a festive fall scavenger hunt. Embrace the cozy vibes with creative crafts, outdoor games, and seasonal treats that capture the magic of fall!
Paper Creations
Wednesday
This hands-on experience lets you transform ordinary paper into extraordinary art. From intricate designs to fun crafts, you'll explore endless possibilities and bring your imaginative ideas to life!
Story Book
Thursday
Students will explore different genres through the world of literature. We will build our talents in reading while getting to know different characters through books!
Get Groovin'
Thursday
Get ready to move and groove in our Gross Motor Movement class! This extra helps develop coordination, balance, and strength through fun activities like jumping, running, and obstacle courses. It’s the perfect way to burn off energy while building essential motor skills!
African Drumming
Thursday | All Ages
John Dickson leads this popular WHMS African drumming group. Beginners and experienced drummers alike benefit from the multi-age and ability group. African drums are provided by John or you are welcome to bring your own!
Mini Sculptors
Friday
Our primary sculpting class Is perfect for little hands eager to mold and create! Explore the basics of sculpting using clay and other materials, shaping their imaginations into fun and unique 3D artworks.
Elementary & Middle School Offerings
Programs run from 3:30 - 4:30 pm. Students will participate in complimentary aftercare from 2:45-3:30 pm.
Kids Can Build
Monday | 6-8 Grade
Is a community event that raises awareness about hunger, where teams of middle school students compete to design and build giant structures made out of full cans of food. The sculptures will be exhibited at the Crossgates Mall and the cans of food will be donated to the Shalom Food Pantry. Students in 6-8 grade are welcome to join the WHMS team!
Dungeons and Dragons
Monday | Lower El
Explore the world of D&D through this club. Players will be grouped in adventuring teams and will be embarking on various quests!
Zine
Tuesday | UE-MS
Be a part of the Woodland Hill Zine! Using collaging techniques, typography, and graphic design. We will expand our knowledge to create various projects for a two-print publication.
Theater Club
Tuesday & Thursday | 4:30-6 pm | UE - MS
Join the WHMS Theater Club, where creativity takes center stage! Our club provides a fun and supportive environment for students to explore the magic of performing arts. Whether you're interested in acting or singing you'll have the opportunity to develop your talents, collaborate with peers, and bring stories to life. Join us to build confidence, make new friends, and create an unforgettable performance! Theater Club performances will be on Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7. Tech Week December 2-6.
Stage Crew
Not interested in being on stage? Join the WHMS Stage Crew to work on props, stage design, and assisting your peers in putting on a fabulous performance! Stage Crew will join theater club later in the season. A schedule will be emailed.
El Club De Español

Rock Band

Join Maria for a hybrid jazz/rock band experience and perform at the School Concerts! Please reach out to Maria Germain if you are interested. Prior jazz/rock instrument experience is required to join this extracurricular.
Skateboard Club
Friday | LE-UE
Whether you are learning to cruise or refining flip tricks for a game of SKATE, Skateboard Club will provide a safe and supportive environment to level up your skateboarding skills. Please note that all skateboarders fall - HELMETS REQUIRED, Additional padding recommended.
Golf Club
Friday | UE-MS
Learn the fundamentals of the fairway in our Basics of Golf class! This introduction to golf covers essential skills like swinging, putting, and proper stance. Perfect for young beginners eager to tee off and discover the joys of this classic sport.
Open Gym
Friday | UE
Get moving in Open Gym with Julio! This energetic session offers kids a chance to play their favorite sports, try new activities, and burn off energy in a fun, supervised environment.

Programs run from 3:30-4:30 pm. Students will participate in complimentary aftercare from 2:45-3:30 pm. WHMS Athletic season dates vary from the regular extracurricular schedule. Please read program descriptions for more information.
Wolf Pack Cheer
Monday & Thursday | LE - UE
Get ready to cheer, jump, and dance in our Cheerleading class! Perfect for all levels, this class teaches the basics of cheer routines, chants, and stunts while building team spirit and confidence. Join us for a high-energy experience that’s all about fun and positivity!
Soccer
Monday & Wednesday | UE - MS
Soccer teaches you agility, quick thinking, strength, and skill. Join the Wolfpack team as we compete against schools in the surrounding area.
*The Soccer Season Ends on Monday, October 28 with a trip to 16 Handles
Cross Country
Tuesday & Thursday | UE - MS
Cross Country running will increase your endurance and stamina. We will work on running techniques and tactics, as well as mental and physical training to reduce injury and maximize performance.
