Primary Offerings
Winter Wonderland
Monday
Celebrate the season with a fresh take on winter fun. Explore hands-on activities inspired by the colder months, from designing intricate snowflake crafts to building mini winter dioramas and experimenting with icy science projects. Enjoy time outdoors with winter games, then warm up with hot cocoa and seasonal treats. It’s a lively, creative way to experience winter—thoughtful, interactive, and memorable.
El Club De Español
Monday
(3:30-4:30 or 4:30-5:30)
This class is for the little language sponges in the Primary Program to immerse themselves in more fun-filled Spanish Instruction. They will learn songs, games and build their knowledge each week with repetition and connection to language. These classes are taught by Lourdes Ortega, our Primary Spanish teacher.
Plato Creations
Wednesday
Unleash your creativity in Plato Creations! In this hands-on and imaginative extra, young artists will shape, sculpt, and mold their ideas into colorful masterpieces using pliable, fun materials. Explore the world of 3D art and watch your creations come to life!
Little Chefs
Tuesday
Whisk up some fun in our Primary Cooking Class! Little chefs will learn the basics of kitchen safety, measuring, and mixing while creating simple and delicious recipes. From fruity snacks to tasty treats, this class is perfect for sparking a love of cooking and exploring new flavors!
Brain Builders
Thursday
A hands-on STEM class where young learners strengthen thinking skills through puzzles, building challenges, and playful problem-solving. Children explore, experiment, and discover while building confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.
African Drumming
Thursday | All Ages
John Dickson leads this popular WHMS African drumming group. Beginners and experienced drummers alike benefit from the multi-age and ability group. African drums are provided by John or you are welcome to bring your own!

Gymnastics
Friday
Primary Gymnastics with Brooke introduces young children to basic gymnastics skills through fun, age-appropriate movement, balance, and coordination activities. This class builds strength, confidence, and body awareness

Dungeons & Dragons
Monday | Lower El
Step into the world of Dungeons & Dragons and become a storyteller, problem-solver, and hero! In this club, kids work together in small adventure teams to explore new worlds, complete exciting quests, and make creative choices. Along the way, players build imagination, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
Heroes of the Hidden Pages
Wednesday | Lower El & Upper El
Led by our librarian Quinn Shaffer, this Montessori-inspired book club inspires children to explore stories through choice-based reading, creative activities, and collaboration, all while working toward a fun final project that celebrates their reading journey.
Chess Club
Thursday | Lower El
Join the Chess Club to sharpen your skills, learn new strategies, and enjoy friendly competition with fellow players. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned chess enthusiast, this club offers a space to think critically, practice good sportsmanship, and have fun!

Olympics of the Visual Arts
Monday l Upper El & Middle School
Olympics of the Visual Arts is a friendly and spirited competition among art students across the state. Students will work in teams this year to represent WHMS by creating solutions to art problems in one of several categories. This is an extra-long class which will culminate in an all-day field trip on Tuesday, April 1 for the annual state-wide OVA event in Saratoga. This event is a wonderful way for students to interact with other student artists and together celebrate creativity.
Dungeons and Dragons
Wednesday | Upper El & Middle School
Step into the world of Dungeons & Dragons and become a storyteller, problem-solver, and hero! In this club, kids work together in small adventure teams to explore new worlds, complete exciting quests, and make creative choices. Music Production

Students will explore the world of music creation by learning to compose, write lyrics, and produce their own songs. From brainstorming ideas to recording tracks, this class inspires creativity and builds foundational skills for budding musicians and producers. Let your unique sound come to life!

Kitchen Kids
Wednesday | Lower El
Young chefs will explore the fundamentals of cooking, from chopping and mixing to measuring and following recipes. With a focus on fun and teamwork, students will whip up delicious dishes and build confidence in the kitchen while learning about nutrition and flavors from around the world!
