Marion works as the Head Toddler teacher in the morning session, and an assistant in the afternoon session. Marion has been an early childhood educator for 35 years. Her prior Montessori experience includes working with Nancy Hillengas in a Primary classroom for five years, in a bilingual Montessori Primary classroom in Germany for one year, and four years as a Toddler Assistant Teacher with Michelle Edwards. She also has a variety of early childhood teaching and administrative experience: at Temple Israel Early Childhood Center (Toddler teacher), SUNY System Administration (Coordinator of Child Care Services), Skidmore College Child Care Center (Director) and Pierce Hall Daycare (Administrative Assistant and Interim Director). Marion has a bachelor’s in Early Childhood and a master’s in Infant and Toddler behavior and development, with additional advanced work in day care administration. She has also completed CMTE Toddler certification in Infant and Toddler.

Ashley works as the Head Toddler teacher in the afternoon, and as an assistant in the morning session. She joined the WHMS faculty in 2016. Ashley has a bachelor's in early childhood education from the College of Saint Rose. She is currently enrolled at the Center for Montessori Education and is in the process of completing her Infant and Toddler Montessori certification. Before coming to Woodland Hill, she worked as a Head Start teacher in Nassau for four years.

Tina joined the team of the Toddler classroom in 2013. Tina previously worked for three years at Our World Montessori School where she was Michelle Edwards’ assistant. She has a college degree from the Berufsbildende Schule Donnersbergkreis in Rockenhausen, Germany and graduated from the Nordpfalz-Gymnasium Kirchheimbolanden in Germany.

Lourdes Ortega received Montessori training from Princeton Montessori Center in New Jersey. Lourdes joined the WHMS faculty in 2003. Lourdes also served as our School Care and Enrichment Director for five years. Currently, she is an assistant teacher in the Toddler program and teaches Spanish at the Primary level.
