Try Branching Out with Read-Alikes
At Woodland Hill Montessori School, guiding children toward meaningful learning and joyful discovery is at the heart of everything we do. Much like a thoughtful librarian who helps a young reader find their next favorite story, our educators carefully observe each child’s interests and passions, then offer experiences and materials that build on that natural curiosity. Often, a child will fall in love with a particular subject, project, or book and eagerly seek more just like it. We embrace these moments as opportunities for deeper exploration, creating “learning pathways” that expand on what already inspires them. As children’s interests grow, so does our commitment to nurturing that spark, ensuring they always have fresh opportunities to explore, question, and discover something new.
The Read-Alike lists curated by our School Librarian are meant to help students branch out into new avenues of inquiry and discovery while still placing an emphasis on student interests.
